The job was supposed to be easy. Pick up some cargo, transfer it out to the middle of nowhere, and then rake in a big fat payday.
The Captain picked up the crate about a week ago. Your crew then limped into Sable Junction running on fumes and optimism — an abandoned mining outpost on a sparsely populated planet at the edge of nowhere, exactly the kind of place where no questions get asked. The Captain and the others went ahead to meet the Broker. Simple handshake, maybe a drink, back before the fuel cells finished topping off.
That was two hours ago.
Now the outpost's comms have gone to static. The emergency lights are cycling on their own. Strange, unrecognizable sounds can be heard coming from the maintenance tunnels. And the dust outside is starting to move in ways that have nothing to do with the wind.
You're the ones left aboard. The ones nobody sent for. Which means you're the ones who are going to have to go in.
